Role: Internal Sales Location: Milton Keynes Sector: Construction Supplies / Builders Merchants Package: 28,000 - 31,000 + Bonus - Dependent on experience - No weekend working! We are looking for a genuine people person, someone who's able to engage with customers and who wants to develop a sales career within the construction supplies sector. The ideal candidate would have some sales or trade counter experience from the merchants world but this is NOT essential. This hunt is all about finding the right person as the product side of things can be taught, whereas the natural 'people skills' ability will be in-built. So full training can provided and there is a clear induction program to bring you up to speed. It is not normally possible to enter the industry at an Internal Sales level and this is still an industry where you can get noticed and progress. Many of the Managing Directors and Regional Directors we deal with started at this level! This sales role is all about personality. They need to find someone who has the attitude and aptitude to pick up new skills, new ways of working, new products etc. Someone who is bright, ambitious and not afraid of hard work. Someone with an entrepreneurial flare and customer service skills are critical. This role will involve new business development and key account management. You have to be confident in your approach and be a person that people want to deal with and work alongside. With a substantial network of branches our client supplies a range of building materials and products to the construction sector. This company has an optimistic, friendly and driven approach. You should ideally share these qualities. This is a very important role for our client. They don't want an order processor They need a proactive, hungry sales professional who's confident in their manner, great to talk to and methodical in their approach to ensure that high level of service is delivered at all times. The financial rewards are definitely there and there is a bonus package too.
