Due to an increasing workload of bridge inspections and ecological compliance surveys, there is a requirement for an experienced Class 2 Licenced Bat Ecologist to support projects across the Midlands and Yorkshire. Your new role As a Class 2 Licenced Bat Ecologist, you will carry out ecological bridge inspections, working alongside inspection teams and operating from elevated access platforms. You will assess structures for bat roost potential, record findings, and provide ecological advice to support infrastructure maintenance and improvement works. The project is already underway and is scheduled to run through to early 2028 , offering an excellent opportunity to join a major heavy civil engineering scheme and play a key role in its successful delivery. The works involve the construction of a new bridge over the River Cuckmere, together with a broad range of complex civil engineering activities, including bored piling, sheet piling, retaining walls, earthworks, highway works, scour protection and temporary works . The Role As Senior General Foreman, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day delivery of the works, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Directing and coordinating the work of site operatives and subcontractors. Ensuring environmental management systems are effectively implemented on site.
