Health & Safety Advisor

TLG Infrastructure are currently recruiting for an experience Health & Safety Advisor to take lead of site operations on a major civil engineering and infrastructure project.

Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor working on some of the most prestigious project in the UK including Railway, Highways, Build, Industrial and Power.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Provide senior H&S leadership and strategic advice to project management and construction teams.
• Manage project risks, ensuring effective risk assessments, RAMS and control measures are in place.
• Monitor site compliance through inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Ensure legal and CDM compliance with relevant UK health and safety legislation.
• Manage and investigate incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences, driving corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor H&S performance, including competence, RAMS and site compliance.
• Lead workforce engagement, including inductions, toolbox talks and safety campaigns.
• Identify and control high-risk activities, including excavation, new roads, reinforced concrete, lifting, temporary works, plant, utilities and confined spaces.
• Monitor H&S performance, KPIs and trends, providing reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement and safety culture, challenging unsafe practices and mentoring H&S personnel.

Contract details:

• 350 to 400 per shift
• Lodge covered if required
• Long term contract due to good order book
