Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair heavy plant, drilling rigs and associated equipment. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults. Carry out welding and fabrication repairs where required. Ensure all equipment meets company safety standards before deployment. Work closely with drilling crews to minimise equipment downtime. Maintain workshop housekeeping and comply with health and safety procedures. Essential Requirements Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer or Plant Mechanic. Experience working on heavy plant, construction, quarrying, mining or drilling equipment. Strong hydraulic, diesel engine and mechanical fault-finding skills. Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently. Full UK driving licence. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Right to work in the UK. Desirable Experience Experience working on drilling rigs or mineral exploration equipment. Knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, JCB, Atlas Copco, Sandvik or Epiroc equipment. Welding or fabrication experience. Electrical diagnostics. LOLER inspection experience. HGV licence (advantageous but not essential).
