Mobile Handyman job available working for a leading housing association in Brighton, East Sussex. Pay rate up to £12.50p/h + Van. Temporary ongoing. Working hours M-F 8am-5pm. JOB DUTIES The Handyman job will involve the following * Carrying out general maintenance of properties within residential estate areas. * General plumbing and basic electrical works, some painting and decorating. * The Handyman will liaise with contractors and assist where needed. * Gardening work such as hedge trimming, weeding and watering will be carried out as and when required. * Jet washing driveways and cleaning of gutters and drains. JOB REQUIREMENTS * Ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar job. Someone who has worked as a Caretaker would be considered for the Handyman job. * General maintenance experience carrying out plumbing and electrical works. * Preferably the Handyman will have worked previously in a customer facing environment and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. * A full clean driving licence is required. POSITION: Mobile Caretaker LOCATION: Barnsley (Based S73 0HS) but travelling to various schools within the area DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: Temporary assignment with a view to going permanent for the right candidate after a 3 month period RATE OF PAY: Approx. £8/hour HOURS OF WORK: TBC/Subject to change. Generally full-time/day time hours but candidates must be flexible with hours due to the changing needs of the environment such as after school events and odd weekend projects. PURPOSE OF ROLE: Handyman/caretaker role in a school environment, the purpose of this role is contribute and oversee the daily operations of facilities & maintenance across the building. This may include the mobilisation and organisation of particular projects throughout the schools.
