The successful candidate will be experienced in operating a range of plant machinery both above and below 10 tonnes and will have previous experience working on ground remediation or similar environmental projects. Job Title: 360 Excavator Operator - Earthworks Location: Darlington Pay Rate: 21.00 per hour (CIS) We are currently seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to join a major earthworks project based in Darlington. Key Responsibilities: Operate 360 excavators for bulk earthworks, deep drainage, trenching, grading, and muck shifting. Work in close coordination with groundworkers, dumper drivers, and roller operatives to maintain progress and accuracy to levels. Perform daily pre-start inspections, routine maintenance checks, and ensure all attachments are safely secured. Maintain strict adherence to site health and safety standards, exclusion zones, and underground utility guidelines. Requirements: Valid CPCS or NPORS card (360 Excavator Above & Below 10 Tonnes essential). Proven experience operating excavators on large-scale earthworks or groundworks projects. Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, safety boots). Valid CIS registration. Strong reliability, precise machine control, and a focus on site safety.
