Candidate Requirements Proven experience working as an Estimator within the construction industry. Experience pricing projects up to approximately 10m, ideally within refurbishment, maintenance, property services or general construction. Relevant Honours Degree or equivalent construction/commercial qualification. Strong understanding of the full tendering and estimating process, from initial enquiry through to final submission. Experience producing cost plans, Bills of Quantities, package enquiries and subcontractor comparisons. Commercially aware, with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions. Strong understanding of subcontractor and supply-chain procurement. Methodical and detail-focused, with the ability to work effectively under tight tender deadlines. Confident working both autonomously and as part of a wider commercial and project team. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience with estimating and measurement software would be advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
