Junior Estimator Required in Central London GVR Solutions are currently representing a building restoration and conservation contractor based in central London, who are seeking an Assistant Estimator join their team on their exciting historical projects across London. They have built a very solid reputation within the industry and have become a very well-established and growing contractor. Responsibilities of the Junior Estimator: Collation & review of tender documents to gain a solid project understanding Measurement of technical drawings using both CAD & traditional measurement methods Working amongst our wider team to obtain job specific market rates for materials Liaison with business partners and subcontractors to obtain site specific quotations Establishing new and building existing relationships with clients / contractors / suppliers Coordinate site visits with team members to understand project logistics / constraints Creation & preparation of bills of quantities / schedules of rates for submission to clients Presentation of tenders for adjudication with senior management team Attending meetings with clients to discuss projects / tenders & negotiate contract sums The Junior Estimator must have/be: Have previous construction experience or currently be in a construction-based education Keen to develop skills (training will be offered if required) Self-motivated and driven to succeed Possess good time management skills and be comfortable working to deadlines Work well within a team, but also be happy working individually Comfortable using all Microsoft applications and have robust IT literacy Keen to learn how to be a great communicator Have some experience with estimating software If you are interested in the Junior Estimator Position above,
