The Role Working as part of an established maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping buildings, fixtures, fittings and internal finishes maintained to a high standard. Your duties will include: Carrying out painting and decorating works across the site. Completing general repairs and maintenance to building fabric, fixtures and fittings. Undertaking planned preventative and reactive maintenance. Carrying out basic cross-trade repairs, including carpentry, glazing and plumbing. Diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs. Supporting refurbishment, improvement and maintenance projects. Maintaining accurate records of completed works and materials used. Escorting contractors within secure areas when required. Working at height using suitable access equipment where necessary. Travelling between sites when required. Following all health and safety, security and compliance procedures. About You We are looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator who is confident working independently while also being part of a wider maintenance team. Essential: Previous experience in painting and decorating or building maintenance. Recognised apprenticeship or approved training scheme. City & Guilds Part II, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK manual driving licence. Own tools and PPE. Basic computer literacy. Current Standard DBS is essential. Desirable: Previous multi-trade maintenance experience. Experience carrying out basic carpentry, glazing or plumbing repairs. Experience working within healthcare, public sector or other secure environments.
