Major Works Project Manager - Canary Wharf Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday Work from home: Once per week (Friday) Duties & Responsibilities Lead on all stages of project delivery from feasibility, concept and design and manage through to completion and sign-off. If you're an experienced Project Planner, Planning Engineer or Construction Planner looking to further your career within the rapidly expanding data centre sector, we'd like to hear from you. The Role Reporting to the Senior Planner and Project Leadership Team, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring project programmes throughout the construction lifecycle. Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and site management, you'll provide accurate programme information to ensure the successful delivery of this major data centre development. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject or Microsoft Project Prepare baseline programmes and regularly update live construction schedules Monitor project progress and report against key milestones Analyse critical path, float, programme risks and potential delays Produce look-ahead programmes, progress reports and planning updates Support project teams with recovery programmes and "what-if" scenario analysis Assist with programme baselining, change control and schedule management Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and commercial teams to support project delivery Provide planning support during tender and pre-construction stages where required Assist with programme records, extension of time submissions and delay analysis Promote continuous improvement in planning processes and reporting standards About the Project You'll initially be based on a flagship data centre construction project in Acton, West London. The development includes: Multiple high-specification data halls Complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure High Voltage and Medium Voltage power installations Backup generation systems Associated office accommodation and ancillary buildings Extensive civil engineering, highways and external works This is a long-term project that offers the opportunity to work on one of London's most significant mission-critical developments.
