Site Manager Major Civil Engineering Project (New Port Development) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major civil engineering project involving the construction of a new port . This is a high-profile development featuring extensive dredging operations and the use of heavy machinery in a complex, high-risk environment. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can operate effectively under pressure and maintain high standards across all aspects of site operations. Key Details: Rate: £375 per shift Start: Immediate Duration: 18 months Project: New port development (civil engineering) Shifts: 7am - 7pm Location: DP World London Gateway Role Responsibilities: Supporting the day-to-day running of a large-scale site Overseeing site operations and ensuring works are progressing safely and efficiently Managing site logistics and maintaining high standards of organisation Monitoring welfare facilities and ensuring they are consistently maintained Proactively identifying issues and implementing effective solutions Ensuring essential site services are maintained (e.g. lighting, skips, septic tanks) Coordinating with subcontractors and site teams Maintaining a strong focus on health & safety in a high-risk environment Requirements: Valid SMSTS , CSCS , and First Aid certifications (essential) Manual Handling (desirable) Proven experience on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects Strong organisational skills with attention to both major operations and small site details Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a demanding environment Proactive, solution-driven mindset with strong leadership presence About You: You will be resilient, highly disciplined, and able to take ownership of your responsibilities on-site.
