Typical Duties Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations on site Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, lines, and other characteristics of terrain to produce accurate volumetric information Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to setting out Take measurements and accumulate data to determine levels, positions and elevations Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in areas using instruments such as Leica, LSS, Total Station, theodolites, transits, levels, and GPS systems Liaise and coordinate with the engineering and project teams, and any other stakeholders Establish fixed points using appropriate equipment and instruments Plan and conduct setting out designed to establish baselines, elevations and other measurements Analyse data and specifications to prepare necessary reports which enable accurate setting out, accurate quantities of materials and plant required, and timely site mobilisation Our Client Our client is proud to be one of the UK s leading heavy civils, groundworks and ground engineering contractors, and has earned an enviable reputation for best-in-class innovation and R&D technology, combined with the successful delivery of many of the industry s most recognised projects.
