Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join an established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, supporting projects ranging from £200k to £10m+ across sectors including water, transport and energy.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial career within a supportive team, gaining exposure to a varied project portfolio while working closely with senior commercial staff and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project cost control, forecasting, cash flow and monthly CVRs.

• Assist with commercial reporting, cost plans and financial management.

• Prepare applications for payment and support final account settlements.

• Assist with subcontract procurement, negotiations and account management.

• Support the administration of NEC and IChemE contracts.

• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and site teams on commercial matters.

• Help improve cost efficiency and ensure compliance with commercial procedures.

About You

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within construction or civil engineering.

• Working knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE forms of contract.

• Experience supporting subcontract procurement and commercial administration.

• Understanding of cost reporting, forecasting and cost control.

• Strong numerical, communication and organisational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Desirable: HND or degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), RICS membership or working towards, CSCS card, and experience in estimating or direct delivery environments.
