Interim Property Manager - Block Management

We're working with a well established property management company that needs an experienced Property Manager to step in at short notice. This is an interim assignment for someone who can walk into an office on Monday, pick up a portfolio, and give clients the steady hand they need. If you're a seasoned block manager between roles, prefer contract work, or want a short-term change of scene before your next move, this is a good fit.

The Role

You'll take day to day responsibility for a portfolio of around 35 residential developments. The priority is stability and continuity: keeping things running smoothly for clients, directors and residents, and making sure nothing slips while the business covers a period of absence in the team.

You'll be supported by the existing Property Manager, who will work alongside you on the portfolio when they're in the office. That gives you a useful handover point and local knowledge to draw on, but you'll need to be comfortable leading the portfolio yourself.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Running the portfolio day to day, including client, director and leaseholder communication
• Managing repairs and maintenance, contractors and site issues
• Carrying out site inspections and making sure compliance stays on track
• Working with the accounts team on service charge matters, budgets and arrears
• Preparing for and attending meetings with clients where needed
• Spotting and resolving issues early so clients feel the portfolio is in safe hands

The Person

• Solid, hands on block management experience
• Confident running your own portfolio with minimal supervision
• Able to hit the ground running: you'll be expected to get up to speed quickly and take ownership from day one
• Organised and calm under pressure, with a client-focused approach
• Available to start immediately or at short notice

The Package

• Temporary or fixed term contract, initially for a minimum of three months
• Full-time salary benchmark of £35,000 -£45,000 per annum; temporary/day rate open to discussion
• Office-based full time in Wokingham, Berkshire
• An immediate start with a supportive, established team
