Job Title: Multi-trade Operative
Location: Wembley (Mobile role)
Salary: 24.73/hr Umbrella (No CIS)
Contract: Contract to permanent
Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Benefits: Company van, fuel card

Job Description - Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work in occupied and void properties.
• Perform basic carpentry work, including fitting doors, skirting boards, locks, and kitchen units.
• Complete plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, toilets, sinks, and pipework.
• Undertake painting and decorating, including surface preparation, painting, and minor plaster repairs.
• Carry out basic plastering, patch repairs, and tiling to walls and floors.
• Perform minor electrical tasks (where qualified and permitted), such as replacing sockets, switches, and light fittings.
• Install and repair flooring, including laminate, vinyl, and timber flooring.
• Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including safe working practices and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and any follow-up actions required.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, customers, site managers, and colleagues.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe during and after completing tasks.
• Report any additional repairs, hazards, or safeguarding concerns identified during visits.
• Travel between multiple sites as required and ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained appropriately.

Requirement:

• Previous Social Housing or council Experience
• Valid UK Driving License
