Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of cost control, budgeting, forecasting and commercial reporting.
- Manage procurement, subcontractor appointments, valuations and variations.
- Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and manage applications for payment, final accounts and contractual documentation.
- Work closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors and wider delivery teams.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and protect project margins.
- Ensure commercial processes are followed and projects are delivered in line with agreed budgets and contractual requirements.
About You
We're looking for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor who brings both commercial expertise and the right personality to the role.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the MEP or building services sector.
- A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical packages, procurement and commercial management.
- Excellent cost control, forecasting and subcontractor management skills.
- A proactive approach, with the initiative to identify issues and drive solutions independently.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to operate in a client-facing and project-facing environment.
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Data centre experience would be advantageous, particularly given the nature of the programme.
What's on Offer?
- £80,000-£85,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working, with Mondays and Fridays working from home.
- Opportunities to contribute to a global programme of mini data centre projects.
- A commercially important role with genuine responsibility and ownership.
- The opportunity to work alongside clients and project teams on technically challenging projects.
