We are working with a growing Worcestershire-based business to recruit an Operations Manager to take responsibility for day-to-day operations, project delivery and resource planning across a busy and varied environment.

This is a key role within the business, working closely with senior management and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, resources are well managed and customers receive a high level of service.

We are looking for someone who has experience within construction, engineering, surveying, infrastructure, utilities, inspection, technical services or a similar sector.

The Role

• Overseeing day-to-day operational activity and project delivery
• Planning and allocating people, equipment and resources
• Coordinating field-based teams and managing changing priorities
• Monitoring project progress, timescales and delivery
• Managing customer expectations and resolving operational issues
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
• Supporting operational planning and workflow improvements
• Managing operational risks and ensuring procedures are followed
• Working closely with senior management on business priorities
• Leading and supporting the operational team as the business continues to grow

About You

You will need:

• Proven experience managing operations, projects or field-based teams
• Strong planning, scheduling and resource management skills
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and internal teams
• A practical and commercially aware approach
• The ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
• Strong IT and systems skills
• A hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership
