Overview
We are recruiting for an Environmental Operative to join a busy and well-established waste management and environmental services operation. This Environmental Operative role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied site-based environment where safety, compliance and operational efficiency are key.
The successful Environmental Operative will support daily site operations, oversee weighbridge activities, assist with environmental compliance, conduct inspections and provide hands-on support across the facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Environmental Operative or somebody from a waste, recycling, quarrying, construction or industrial background looking for a new challenge.
This Environmental Operative position offers long-term career stability, training opportunities and the chance to play a key role in maintaining high operational and environmental standards.
Ideal Candidate
Experience within waste, recycling, environmental, quarrying or construction sectors
Strong administrative and record-keeping skills
Good IT literacy and confidence using reporting systems
Health & Safety conscious with a proactive attitude
Flexible and hands-on approach to site operations
Environmental Operative Key Responsibilities
Operate the weighbridge and accurately process vehicle movements and documentation
Conduct waste acceptance checks and environmental inspections
Support compliance activities and maintain accurate site records
Assist with traffic management and safe vehicle movements across site
Undertake general site maintenance, housekeeping and operational support duties
Commutable Locations
Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Widnes, Runcorn, Manchester, Leigh, Bolton, Liverpool, Ellesmere Port
