Full time Construction Project Manager Site Manager Management

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a Tier 1 building contractor on a major new project in Edinburgh.

The scheme is a large, mixed-use development combining new-build construction with significant refurbishment elements, offering a genuine technical challenge.

As Site Manager, you will take day-to-day responsibility for the safe, efficient delivery of your section of the project. You will manage site operations, programme delivery, and daily progress, while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and welfare. The role will involve coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, maintaining site records and inspections, and supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project safely, on time, and to budget.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Site Manager on building projects, ideally with exposure to both new-build and refurbishment works. You will have strong knowledge of health and safety, quality, and programme management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proactive, hands-on approach to site delivery. An SMSTS qualification, or equivalent, is required.

The employer is a well-organised, high-performing Tier 1 building contractor with a strong reputation for delivery on challenging projects. They reward ambition, invest in their people, and have a positive track record of developing and promoting talent from within.

In return, they are offering a competitive salary and package, the opportunity to work on a large and technically challenging Edinburgh project, and clear career progression within a supportive, ambitious team.
