Site Caretaker (Tewkesbury)

We are working with a local global company who currently have a new Site Caretaker position available. This would initially be on a temporary basis, but there is also potential for this temporary role to become a permanent position. Training is provided and the opportunity for the role to develop over time.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the workspace facilities, providing reliable, practical and proactive support for the day-to-day upkeep, cleanliness and presentation of the Tewkesbury site and will help maintain high standards of housekeeping, support a safe and efficient working environment and respond promptly to routine site issues. Working closely with the Principal Site Engineer, the role will provide valuable operational support.

Key Duties will include:

• Maintaining the business internal and external areas to a high standard
• Waste and recycling management checking segregation & coordinating approved contractors
• Responding to routine site issues minor blockages/maintenance problems & ad-hoc cleaning
• Identify, report & escalate site defects, safety concerns, maintenance requirements or housekeeping issues
• Assist with contractor access, deliveries, room set-ups, practical tasks & small moves

We are looking for someone local to Tewkesbury who takes pride in their work and would keep the site well maintained and presented. If you have good basic literacy/numeracy, a willingness to learn and train along with some practical experience in a hands-on role such as caretaker, facilities, cleaning, maintenance, warehouse site support or similar and are able to follow instructions and ask for guidance when needed, then we would be pleased to hear from you.

The role offers:

£13.50 per hour

37.5 hours per week

30-minute unpaid lunch break

Initially working 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Once fully trained and familiar with the site, there will be flexibility to amend the start time
