Our client, a high-performance engineering company, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of its buildings and day-to-day site operations. You will ensure the facilities provide a safe, efficient and pleasant environment for employees and visitors, combining hands-on involvement with responsibility for maintenance planning, contractors and compliance.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the maintenance and upkeep of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural components.
- Planning and overseeing routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs across all sites.
- Managing contractors and service providers for specialist maintenance and renovation projects.
- Leading the response to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimise disruption.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Overseeing facilities supplies, budgets and the setup of events and company spaces.
- Supervising facilities staff and supporting the movement of equipment between sites, including driving company vehicles when required.
The Facilities Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a facilities management or senior facilities role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
- Experience managing contractors, maintenance schedules and health and safety compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and support a team.
- A clean driving licence, with a Class 1 licence and a facilities management qualification (such as IWFM) being advantageous.
