Associate Building Surveyor

Conrad Consulting is recruiting for an Associate Building Surveyor to join an established and growing consultancy in West Sussex.

This is a senior, project-led Building Surveying opportunity for an MRICS-qualified Surveyor with strong experience delivering refurbishment, alteration and maintenance projects.

You will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects, working closely with clients from initial instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Project management of refurbishment and redevelopment schemes
• Contract administration
• Preparation of specifications and tender packages
• Tendering and procurement
• Project monitoring and site inspections
• Contractor management
• Defect diagnosis and technical advice
• Planned maintenance and major works
• Technical due diligence and building surveys
• Project reporting and cost monitoring
• Client management and business development
• Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors

The successful candidate will have significant client exposure and the opportunity to take a leading role in the delivery and growth of the project surveying service.

The ideal candidate

• MRICS qualified Building Surveyor
• Strong project management and contract administration experience
• Consultancy background
• Experience managing projects from inception to completion
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts
• Excellent technical and specification-writing ability
• Confident managing clients, contractors and professional teams
• Commercially minded with leadership ambitions

This role offers an excellent platform for an experienced Senior Surveyor looking to step into an Associate position, or an existing Associate looking for greater responsibility.
