Join our Major Infrastructure Projects team and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure that supports the UK s ship and submarine sustainment programmes at Devonport.
As the Design Implementation Engineer, you ll bridge the gap between approved design and implementation, working closely with Responsible Designers, delivery teams, contractors, users and other stakeholders. Using your Civil or Structural Engineering expertise, you ll help ensure facilities are delivered safely, effectively and in line with technical, operational and nuclear safety requirements.
You ll provide engineering support throughout the implementation of the Water Retaining Boundary (WRB) and associated Demolition and Trials activities. Key responsibilities will include coordinating Designer Site Representative activities, responding to site queries, reviewing technical queries and changes, and ensuring construction activities comply with approved designs and specifications.
You ll also review inspection and test documentation, construction reports, risk assessments, method statements, temporary works designs and material approvals. You ll support the management of non-conformances and undertake targeted site surveillance to provide assurance that the works meet the required standards.

We re looking for an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer with a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and experience of major infrastructure delivery.
