We re looking for an experienced Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, based in Barnstaple and covering North Devon and the surrounding area.
This is a role for someone who knows their stuff, takes pride in getting things right and understands that, when it comes to asbestos, quality and professional judgement matter.

The Role
You ll work across a varied range of sites throughout North Devon and the surrounding area, carrying out:
- Management, refurbishment, demolition and asbestos-in-ground surveys
- Air monitoring and airborne fibre counting
- 4-stage clearances and inspection of remediation works
- Accurate site data collection and reporting using our NexGen system
- Work in line with HSG248, HSG264 and relevant asbestos legislation
- QHSE documentation and internal assurance processes
- Client and contractor liaison, providing clear technical advice when needed
No two days are necessarily the same, and you ll have the support of a wider professional team while being trusted to use your own experience and judgement.
About You
You ll ideally have:
- BOHS P402, P403 and/or P404, RSPH equivalents, or a Certificate of Competence
- Working knowledge of HSG248 and HSG264
- A full UK manual driving licence
- Experience working across different sites and environments
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
- The confidence to make decisions and challenge something when it isn t right
- A strong focus on accuracy, quality and safety
