An established and design-led Architectural & Masterplanning practice is looking to appoint an experienced Architect to join its 16-strong studio in Leeds City Centre.
Established almost 20 years ago and led by hands-on Directors with backgrounds in some of the UK's larger commercial practices, the business has successfully created the best of both worlds the expertise and project capability of a larger practice, combined with the autonomy, accessibility and collaborative culture of a smaller studio.
The practice has an excellent portfolio of work spanning Commercial, Retail, Offices, Education and Residential, alongside bespoke new-build developments, conversions, refurbishments and interior projects.
With a healthy workload and a number of projects progressing through design, technical and delivery stages, they are now looking for an experienced Architect who can hit the ground running, work independently and confidently take ownership of projects and packages.
The Role
This opportunity would suit an ARB-registered Architect with approximately 3 5+ years' post-qualification experience, although applications from experienced Architects outside of this range are equally welcomed.
You'll join a close-knit team where you'll be given genuine responsibility and autonomy, working across projects from design development through technical delivery and construction.
The practice needs someone capable of working at pace, making decisions and progressing projects without requiring constant supervision, while maintaining a high standard of design and technical output.
Key responsibilities will include:
What We're Looking For
The successful Architect will ideally have:
The studio is predominantly Revit-based, although there may initially be a requirement to work in AutoCAD for several months, so previous AutoCAD experience would be beneficial.
The Practice
This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect who wants greater autonomy, responsibility and project ownership within an established independent Leeds practice.
Rather than becoming another number within a large team, you'll work closely with the Directors and senior members of the studio, with the opportunity to have a genuine influence over projects and their delivery.
The practice offers a modern and collaborative working environment, alongside flexibility around working hours to accommodate childcare and individual circumstances. Collaboration remains central to the business, so this opportunity will particularly suit somebody who enjoys being part of a studio-based team.
Salary: £38,000 £48,000 per annum, dependent upon experience, plus benefits.
