Location: North West of England

Salary: £45k to £50k + Car Allowance + Package

contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to
join its growing operations team.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful Site Manager
will take responsibility for the effective day-to-day management
of construction activities on site, ensuring projects are
delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standards
and within agreed commercial parameters.

You will lead the site team and coordinate subcontractors,
suppliers and other stakeholders, maintaining a professional and
well-organised site environment throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site.
Take overall responsibility for site health, safety and
environmental standards.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme,
drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Lead, manage and motivate site-based teams and subcontractors.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities to
maintain programme progress.
Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are
consistently achieved.
Attend and contribute to progress, coordination and
subcontractor meetings.
Maintain accurate site records, reports and relevant
construction documentation.
Identify and resolve issues efficiently, escalating where
appropriate.
Monitor site progress and communicate key information to the
Project Manager and wider project team.
Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants,
subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
Promote a culture of collaboration, professionalism and
continuous improvement.
Support the successful commercial and operational delivery of
the project.

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced construction professional who
is confident taking ownership of a site and leading teams to
successful project completion.

You will ideally have:

Proven experience working as a Site Manager within the main
contracting environment.
A strong understanding of construction processes and site
management.
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple
trades.
A thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental
requirements.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and
specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering
high-quality work.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively
under pressure.
A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
Relevant construction qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS and
First Aid at Work.
