COST MANAGER

Location - Mansfield (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)
Day rate - 348 via umbrella
Initial duration - 6 months
IR35: Inside

Required experience: construction / NEC project delivery / cost estimation / QS and analysing tender process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and develop initial cost estimates for construction projects, providing accurate forecasts from project inception.
• Analyse and evaluate tender submissions, assessing pricing structures and overall value for construction projects.
• Produce and maintain monthly cost forecasts, comparing contractor projections against project budgets and identifying variances.
• Assess and manage Compensation Events (CEs) within an NEC contract environment, ensuring accurate cost control and compliance.
• Review and evaluate Applications for Payment (AFP), providing recommendations for approval or challenge where appropriate.
• Identify, analyse and utilise quality cost data from completed projects to support benchmarking, forecasting and continuous improvement initiatives.
