Project Manager Civils / Industrial Construction
Location: Sizewell, Suffolk

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established construction and civil engineering contractor working on a desalination plant project at Sizewell.
The project is located outside the main site boundary, and they are looking for a strong Project Manager with a solid background in civils and industrial construction.
The successful candidate will need to be particularly strong in design coordination, subcontractor management, programme delivery and commercial management.
The Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for driving the project forward and working closely with the design team, subcontractors and wider project team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of the project.
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors.
- Liaising effectively with designers throughout the project.
- Coordinating between the design team and subcontractors.
- Managing design requirements and ensuring information is progressed efficiently.
- Driving the construction programme and ensuring works continue to progress.
- Identifying and addressing issues that could impact programme delivery.
- Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring works remain on track.
- Maintaining strong commercial oversight of the project.
- Working closely with the wider project team to support successful delivery.
About You
We are interested in speaking with Project Managers who have:
- A strong civil engineering and/or industrial construction background.
- Strong design management and coordination experience.
- Proven subcontractor management experience.
- The ability to liaise confidently and effectively with designers and subcontractors.
- Strong programme management skills and the ability to drive works forward.
- Strong commercial understanding.
- Experience managing the delivery of construction projects.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
This role would suit a delivery-focused Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership, managing the different parties involved and driving the programme forward.
