Job Title: Junior Building Surveyor

Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Salary: 30,000 - 40,000

Curve Recruitment are working on behalf of a multi-disciplined construction consultancy based in Cambridge who are looking to recruit a motivated Junior Building Surveyor to join their team working on a range of social housing projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor with relevant industry experience who is looking to develop their career working alongside experienced Surveyors on property inspections, condition surveys and project delivery.

The successful candidate will support Senior Surveyors across a variety of projects, helping to ensure works are delivered to a high standard while developing their technical knowledge and experience within the social housing sector.

As the Junior Building Surveyor, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Carry out property inspections and condition surveys across social housing properties.
• Assist with the preparation of survey reports, schedules of work and specifications.
• Support senior surveyors with the delivery and management of building surveying projects.
• Identify building defects and assist with recommending appropriate remedial works.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring works are completed to the required standards.
• Maintain accurate project records and surveying documentation.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience within Building Surveying or a similar property/construction role.
• A relevant degree in Building Surveying.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
• An interest in social housing and improving homes and communities.
• A full UK driving licence.
