M&E Design Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Design Manager to join a leading M&E contractor based in Warrington.

Our client delivers mechanical and electrical building services across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare and education projects, and is looking for an experienced Design Manager with a strong mechanical background to lead their design function.

The Role

• Managing the design process across M&E projects from concept through to installation
• Leading and coordinating the design team, including in-house engineers and external consultants
• Overseeing mechanical design output, ensuring technical accuracy and buildability
• Liaising with clients, contractors and the wider project team
• Managing design programmes, ensuring information is issued on time
• Ensuring designs meet current regulations, specifications and client requirements
• Supporting value engineering and coordination across mechanical and electrical packages

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Design Manager within M&E/building services
• Strong mechanical engineering background essential
• Proficient in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, CAD-Duct or similar)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, current regulations and design coordination
• Relevant qualification (HNC/HND or degree in Building Services or similar)
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
