Assistant Site Manager

Location: County Durham
Project: New Build Housing Development
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Linear Recruitment are currently working with a well-established housebuilder who are looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Assistant Site Manager to join a new build housing development in County Durham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join an established site team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-quality residential development.

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management and coordination of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site trades
• Monitoring progress against the programme
• Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards
• Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
• Maintaining strong health & safety standards across the site
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics
• Attending site meetings and providing progress updates
• Ensuring relevant site documentation and records are maintained
• Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to ensure programme targets are achieved

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build housing developments
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and build processes
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities
• A strong understanding of health & safety and quality requirements
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of an established site team
