My client is a reputable special needs school and is looking for an experienced, reliable and professional site operative/school care taker. Permanent 25-30 hours a week, 52-week contract. If you are looking for a rewarding career, apply now.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing day-to-day site maintenance, caretaking and repair services to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Carrying out repairs and minor improvements using practical or trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, decorating or electrical maintenance.
  • Taking the initiative to identify and act on maintenance needs before they become problems whether it s a loose hinge, a leaking pipe, or a potential hazard.
  • Using your trade experience (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, decorating) to carry out in-house improvements and repairs.
  • Supporting the setup of learning spaces, movement of furniture and equipment, and preparation for events or lettings.
  • Completing statutory and mandatory duties including fire alarm testing, water temperature logs, building compliance checks and secure locking procedures.
  • Working across school sites and responding flexibly to a varied and evolving workload.
  • Being a visible, proactive presence who contributes to the smooth daily running of the school and the safety of pupils and staff.
