An established and highly respected commercial interiors and fit-out contractor is looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of a Site Supervisor.

The business has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial interiors, office fit-outs and refurbishment projects, with the majority of its work currently taking place across the East of Scotland.

The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of projects on site.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, you will ensure that trades, subcontractors and suppliers are coordinated effectively and that works are delivered to the required programme, quality and health & safety standards.

The role will involve working across a variety of commercial interiors and fit-out projects, predominantly throughout the East of Scotland, so a willingness to travel between sites is essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and coordinating site activities across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Monitoring progress against project programmes and reporting any issues or delays
  • Liaising with Project Managers, clients, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Coordinating deliveries, materials and site resources
  • Ensuring site documentation, inductions and health & safety requirements are maintained
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and ensuring compliance with company and project standards
  • Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment
  • Supporting the successful handover and completion of projects
About You

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor with a background in commercial interiors, fit-out, refurbishment or construction.

You will be confident managing a busy site, coordinating multiple trades and maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Site Supervisor or similar site-based role
  • Experience within commercial fit-out, interiors, refurbishment or construction
  • Strong knowledge of site health & safety requirements
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
  • A proactive approach to problem solving
  • The confidence to coordinate subcontractors and trades
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
  • A strong eye for quality and attention to detail
  • A professional approach when dealing with clients and contractors
  • A full driving licence and the ability to travel to sites across the East of Scotland

Relevant qualifications such as SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and other construction-related certifications would be advantageous.
