Senior Town Planner
Location: Exeter
Salary: 40-50,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially minded Senior Chartered Planner to join a respected and collaborative planning consultancy in Exeter. With a strong reputation for providing clear, realistic advice and personalised service, the team works with clients across the residential, commercial, leisure, energy and heritage sectors, supporting everyone from national developers to private individuals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of work, lead projects from inception through to completion, develop strong client relationships and play an active role in business development.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload while contributing to the continued growth and development of the Exeter office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing planning projects from start to finish
- Preparing planning appraisals, applications and appeals
- Providing clear and commercially focused planning advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting and contributing to business development
- Taking the lead on projects and developing their professional profile
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Planner / RTPI Member with strong, broad planning experience and a genuine commercial mindset.
They will have:
- Chartered Planner status / RTPI membership
- Strong and broad experience across planning
- A good understanding of the full range of planning work
- Strong commercial awareness of development projects
- A good understanding of the planning consultancy business
- The confidence to manage projects and build client relationships
- A full driving licence
