Site Manager

My client is a well-established construction company with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality bespoke new-build and refurbishment projects. Due to a growing workload, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join them on an initial freelance basis, covering projects along the A3 corridor.

This role would suit a proactive Site Manager who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoys working closely with clients, and is comfortable taking ownership of site operations from start to finish.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of several projects, including bespoke residential new builds and works to existing buildings. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing daily site activities across live projects
• Coordinating and supervising labour and subcontractors
• Maintaining programme deadlines and site productivity
• Ordering and managing materials to ensure smooth project delivery
• Ensuring high standards of quality control throughout the build process
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients on site
• Enforcing health and safety procedures and site compliance
• Providing regular progress updates directly to the Managing Director

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction sector
• Strong background in both new-build and refurbishment projects
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Confident and professional when dealing with clients and stakeholders
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades and site activities effectively
• Full UK driving licence
