Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Site Labourer to join our clients on site installation teams. This role involves supporting various on-site activities to ensure smooth project progress and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic construction setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working alongside skilled professionals committed to safety and quality.

Duties

Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and tools.
Support skilled tradespeople by providing necessary materials and equipment as directed.
Help with site safety procedures, including maintaining clear pathways and adhering to safety protocols.
Transport materials around the site using appropriate equipment such as wheelbarrows or forklifts, where qualified.
Perform general maintenance tasks to keep the site tidy, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Assist with setting up scaffolding, barricades, or signage as required for ongoing work phases.
Follow instructions from supervisors closely to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Experience

Previous experience in a construction or manual labour environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to safety procedures and willingness to adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills.
Basic understanding of construction site operations is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for gaining industry knowledge is key.

Must hold a CSCS card, and also a valid driving license would be an advantage.

Our client is open to to students, who potentially could in-turn be put through a relevant NVQ - with this is mind students under 21 years will be paid 11.00 per hour.
