Do you have experience within roofing, cladding, facades, construction or the building envelope sector?
Do you have a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and construction compliance?
Are you someone with knowledge of quality management systems and site inspection processes?
Do you hold a valid UK driving licence and CSCS card?
If the answers are yes, we are hiring for a SHEQ Manager on behalf of a growing specialist contractor operating across roofing, cladding, rainscreen and fire remediation projects throughout the UK.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Experience within roofing, cladding, facades, construction or building envelope environments
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and construction compliance
- Knowledge of quality management systems and site inspection processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Valid UK driving licence
- CSCS card
WHAT YOU GET
- £45,000 - £50,000 salary dependent on experience

THE NICE TO HAVES

- Experience in a site operative, supervisor, foreperson, contracts manager or quality-focused role
THE DAY TO DAY
- Lead and develop SHEQ strategy, policies and procedures across the business
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with CDM 2015, HSE requirements and company procedures
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, environmental performance and quality
- Work closely with operational leadership teams to embed consistent SHEQ standards
- Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Manage quality assurance processes from pre-start through to project handover
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and industry guidance
- Support project teams with risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
- Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions
- Maintain SHEQ documentation, audits, inspections, training records and management reports
- Act as the primary point of contact for SHEQ matters with clients, auditors and regulators
- Deliver toolbox talks, SHEQ briefings and coaching to site teams and subcontractors
- Support SHEQ-related induction, training and competency record management
- Field-based role with travel to sites across Lancashire, Yorkshire, the Midlands and the North East.
