Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) - Planned Works

Location: Merton (Surrey)

Rate: Up to £22 per hour

Contract: Long-Term Temporary

We are currently working with a leading contractor who is looking to recruit an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join their team on a long-term planned works programme in Merton, Surrey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RLO looking for a long-term temporary position, working across a mixture of planned works and closely with residents, site teams and the client to ensure works are communicated effectively and delivered with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout the planned works programme.

  • Carry out resident visits, pre-start meetings and regular communication throughout the works.

  • Explain the scope and programme of works clearly to residents.

  • Arrange access and appointments with residents and ensure works can progress efficiently.

  • Identify and support vulnerable residents, putting appropriate measures in place where required.

  • Manage resident queries, concerns and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.

  • Liaise closely with site managers, supervisors, contractors and client representatives.

  • Maintain accurate records of resident communications, visits, appointments and feedback.

  • Attend site and client meetings, providing updates on resident issues and satisfaction.

  • Help minimise disruption to residents and maintain strong relationships throughout the programme.

  • Promote excellent customer service and resident engagement.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, Tenant Liaison Officer, Customer Liaison Officer, or similar.

  • Experience working on planned works or refurbishment projects, ideally within social housing.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Confident dealing with residents, contractors and client representatives.

  • Good IT and administrative skills.

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

  • A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.
