Plumber - Water Hygiene

Location: Northampton / Buckinghamshire (Travel Required)

Rate: £17.50 per hour

Job Type: Temp to Perm

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join their growing Water Hygiene & Compliance team, supporting a range of commercial, educational, healthcare, and residential sites across Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire.

Working alongside Water Hygiene Compliance Technicians, you will play a key role in ensuring water systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational in accordance with regulation requirements. The role will involve carrying out plumbing installations, maintenance, servicing, and compliance-related works, including TMV servicing, valve replacement, plumbing modifications, and system improvements.

Key Details

  • Hours: Monday to Friday (07:30 to 16:30)
  • Location: Northampton / Buckinghamshire with travel between sites
  • Contract: Temp to Perm opportunity
  • Van and fuel card provided

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance on domestic and commercial water systems
  • Installation, replacement, and commissioning of TMVs (Thermostatic Mixing Valves)
  • Pipework alterations and modifications
  • Installation and replacement of water fittings, valves, and outlets
  • Identifying and rectifying plumbing defects highlighted during Legionella Risk Assessments
  • Working closely with Water Hygiene Technicians and Risk Assessors to resolve compliance issues
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and current legislation

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
  • Have proven experience in commercial plumbing
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Have a good understanding of Water Regulations
  • Possess strong communication and customer service skills
  • Be reliable, professional, and able to work independently
  • Be able to provide relevant work references upon request
