Contracts Manager Berkshire Main Contractor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an established main contractor working across traditional build and multi-occupancy projects throughout the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager looking to join an established business and take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with Site Managers, commercial teams, clients and senior management.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple projects from start through to completion
  • Providing leadership and support to Site Managers and project teams
  • Monitoring programme, costs, quality and health & safety
  • Managing client relationships and attending project meetings
  • Working closely with Quantity Surveyors and the commercial team
  • Managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships
  • Reviewing project performance and identifying potential issues
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements
  • Reporting progress and performance to senior management

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Contracts Manager for a main contractor, with a strong background in traditional construction.

You will be a confident and experienced construction professional with the ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams effectively.

Experience working on multi-occupancy or residential projects would be advantageous.

You will also need to demonstrate:

  • Strong project and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Good understanding of construction programmes and contracts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong client and subcontractor management skills
  • A proactive and hands-on approach
