Resident Liaison Officer (RLO)
East London & Essex Decent Homes & Social Housing Up to 35,000 + Package
A well-established refurbishment contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join their team, working across Decent Homes, social housing and refurbishment projects throughout East London and Essex.
This is an office-based role, supporting the delivery of refurbishment frameworks while acting as the key point of contact between residents, the contractor and site teams.
The Role
As Resident Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with residents and ensuring they are kept fully informed throughout refurbishment works. You will work closely with operational teams to resolve issues, manage resident communications and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout refurbishment works.
- Provide clear and regular communication regarding planned works, access requirements and programme updates.
- Deal with resident enquiries, complaints and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Arrange access to properties and coordinate appointments with residents and site teams.
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and correspondence.
- Work closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and project teams to resolve issues.
- Carry out resident visits and attend meetings where required.
- Support the delivery of Decent Homes and social housing refurbishment programmes.
- Ensure residents receive a high standard of customer service throughout the works.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous RLO experience within Decent Homes, social housing or refurbishment.
- Specific experience working on Decent Homes schemes is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience dealing directly with residents and tenants.
- The ability to manage complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- A professional and approachable manner.
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to the regional coverage.
