The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee internal refurbishment works on a major residential regeneration programme in Portishead.
Working alongside the Project Manager and wider site team, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of internal works within large occupied apartment blocks, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while residents remain in occupation.
This is a long-term opportunity to join a secured programme with circa two years of work ahead, offering stability and the chance to play a key role on a significant live refurbishment scheme.
The Role
- Manage day-to-day site operations across internal refurbishment works
- Oversee works within large occupied residential blocks while maintaining a safe and positive environment for residents
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and direct labour
- Drive programme performance and maintain project momentum
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
- Monitor quality standards and manage snagging through to completion
- Liaise with residents, client representatives and the wider project team
- Maintain site documentation, reports, permits and compliance records
- Support resident engagement and minimise disruption throughout the works
- Ensure high standards of health & safety, customer care and housekeeping at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering refurbishment projects
- Experience working within occupied residential or live environments
- Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills
- Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality control processes
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and maintain programme delivery
- Confident communicating with residents, client teams and site stakeholders
Desirable
- Social housing refurbishment experience
- Experience delivering internal refurbishment programmes within occupied residential blocks
- Experience of kitchen, bathroom, communal area or internal improvement works
- Retrofit, remediation or fire safety project experience
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
