Our client a West London based Groundwork and Civil Engineering contractor currently seek x3 experienced Shuttering Carpenters for one of their projects in Thornton Heath near Croydon. It is essential that you hold a CSCS card and can provide recent work references for similar work undertook The work itself is new build apartments Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine formwork requirements. Construct, assemble, and build shutters for formwork, lift shafts, Walls , and Stair cases Using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to create molds for concrete pouring. Ensure formwork is properly aligned, supported, and secured to withstand the pressure of wet concrete during curing. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while maintaining high standards of quality and precision. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues Remove formwork/or shutters carefully after concrete has set, ensuring no damage occurs to the finished structure. Maintain a clean work environment, inspect tools and equipment regularly, and adhere strictly to safety protocols on-site. Experience Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter or in a similar carpentry role within commercial or industrial construction environments. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in construction sites is essential for success in this role.
