Freelance Site Manager - Drainage Project Location - Solihull Start Date - 24th August Rate - £250-£260/shift (neg) About the role This is a four week freelance Site Manager contract based at Solihull Gate Retail Park, overseeing drainage works. The drainage package is being delivered by specialist subcontractors, so you do not need to be a drainage expert. What matters is your ability to lead the site, maintain excellent health and safety standards and keep the project running smoothly. Your experience You will have experience working as a Site Manager on construction, refurbishment or civil engineering projects and be confident managing subcontractors on site. You will hold a CSCS Black Card or equivalent, SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, Fire Marshal, Manual Handling and Working at Heights qualifications. You will be comfortable carrying out site inductions, completing site reports and making sure health and safety standards are maintained throughout the project. What you will be doing with your experience You will take responsibility for the day to day management of the site, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to programme. You will complete inductions, oversee specialist subcontractors, carry out site inspections, produce site reports and deal with any issues before they become problems. This is a role for someone who is proactive rather than reactive. If something needs your attention, you will get stuck in and make sure it is resolved.
