Synergy Personnel Ltd is currently recruiting 4 experienced Stone Fixers for a prestigious heritage restoration projectin Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project working on the restoration and repair of a historic building.

Responsibilities

• Fixing and installing natural stone in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Carrying out stone repairs and replacements on heritage and listed buildings
• Removing damaged stonework and preparing surfaces for new installations
• Setting and bedding stone using traditional lime mortars and approved fixing methods
• Installing ashlar stone, copings, cills, lintels, quoins, and other architectural stone features
• Drilling, dowelling, pinning, and resin fixing stone where required
• Cutting, shaping, and finishing stone to achieve an accurate fit
• Pointing and making good using traditional lime mortars
• Working safely at height from scaffolding where required
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship while preserving the historic character of the building
• Following conservation guidelines and site health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience working on heritage or restoration projects is highly desirable
• Ability to read drawings and work accurately to specification
• Experience working with natural stone and traditional materials
• Own hand tools
• CSCS Card preferred but not essential
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
