First People Solutions are currently recruiting experienced Steel Fixers for an exciting project in Dumfries.
We are looking for skilled and dependable Steel Fixers to join a busy construction site, working with a reputable contractor. This is a great opportunity for experienced operatives seeking competitive rates and ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings
- Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement
- Installing reinforcing bars and mesh to specification
- Working safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
- Valid CSCS Card (Blue or Gold preferred)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Own PPE and relevant tools
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
