Established Essex-based contractor specialising in passive fire protection and associated building works are looking for an experienced Passive Fire Protection Site Manager to join our team. The Role As Passive Fire Protection Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of London based passive fire protection projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to the required standard and in accordance with project specifications. Your responsibilities will include: Managing passive fire protection works on site from start to completion Supervising and coordinating site operatives and subcontractors Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and manufacturers' requirements Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high quality standards Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks Maintaining site records, photographs and project documentation Coordinating with clients, main contractors and other trades on site Managing materials, labour and site resources Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any issues Ensuring health & safety requirements are followed at all times Identifying and resolving site issues promptly Supporting project managers and the wider management team Ensuring all passive fire protection works are properly documented and signed off Ideally, you will have: Previous experience as a Site Manager, Supervisor or similar within passive fire protection A strong understanding of passive fire protection systems and installation methods Experience working on commercial construction sites Good knowledge of fire stopping, fire compartmentation and associated remedial works The ability to read and understand drawings and specifications Strong organisational and communication skills The confidence to manage operatives, subcontractors and client representatives A good understanding of health & safety requirements A professional approach and attention to detail The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your sites Relevant passive fire protection qualifications and site management qualifications such as SMSTS and CSCS are required. A full UK driving licence is also preferred.
