Coljoint Limited is seeking skilled Electricians to join our team delivering the electrical refurbishment of Cardiff Station for our client, BAM Nuttall.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term infrastructure project with a growing electrical contractor specialising in Commercial, Industrial and Rail electrical installations throughout the UK.

Successful candidates will work under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor and play an important role in delivering high-quality electrical installation works within a live railway environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of cable containment systems, including cable tray, ladder rack and Unistrut support systems.
• Installation of SWA cables, including routing, cleating, glanding and termination at equipment and distribution panels.
• Installation and termination of lighting, small power and LV distribution equipment.
• Completing all works in accordance with site safety procedures, permit-to-work systems and relevant industry standards.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and compliance with BAM Nuttall and Network Rail safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

• ECS Gold Card.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Proven experience in commercial, industrial or rail electrical installations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Competent in the safe use of hand tools and power tools for electrical installation work.
• referred Qualifications
• Sentinel PTS.
• Previous Network Rail or station experience.
• PASMA.
• Testing & Inspection.

PTS is preferred but not essential. We welcome applications from experienced Commercial and Industrial Electricians who are looking to develop a career within the rail industry. Suitable candidates may be offered the opportunity to complete their PTS training and join our growing rail team.
