Rate: £17.50 per hour
Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex
Contract: Temporary (12 Months) Start Date: August 2026

Atkinson Baker Associates are currently recruiting an experienced Traffic Marshall on behalf of an Award-Winning Boutique Residential Developer.

The Client
Our client is a premium housebuilder known for delivering high-end residential communities. With a brand-new project launching in Haywards Heath this August, they require a vigilant and authoritative Traffic Marshall to manage the logistical flow of the site safely and efficiently over the next 12 months.

The Role
You will be the first point of contact for the site, taking full responsibility for the safe movement of all plant machinery, delivery vehicles, and pedestrians.

Your duties will include:

• Vehicle Management: Safely banking and directing large delivery vehicles and plant machinery in and out of the site gates.
• Logistics Tracking: Managing the gatehouse, recording all deliveries, and ensuring vehicles only arrive within designated hours.
• Pedestrian Safety: Ensuring total segregation of pedestrians and site traffic, both on-site and on the adjoining public highways.
• Site Security: Monitoring the front gate and ensuring all visitors sign in and wear the correct PPE before entering.

Requirements

• Essential: A valid CSCS Card.
• Essential: A valid Traffic Marshall / Traffic Banksman Ticket.
• Experience: Previous experience banking vehicles on busy construction sites.
• Communication: Clear and authoritative communication skills to manage drivers and site visitors safely.

Location & Commute Haywards Heath, West Sussex. (Highly commutable from Burgess Hill, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, and surrounding Mid Sussex areas).
