Carpenter

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a restoration team delivering work on a high-end establishment in West Ashling, Chichester must have experience on sash windows. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established company specialising in the restoration and repair of traditional properties. You will be part of a skilled team committed to exceptional craftsmanship, historical accuracy, and high-quality finishes, must have experience and a high finish. This role is specifically suited to a carpenter with strong experience in sash window restoration, traditional timber repairs, and fine joinery work, must live in good travel distance of West Ashling/Chichester.

Key Responsibilities

• Restoration, repair, and refurbishment of traditional timber sash windows
• Splicing, easing, and rebalancing sash windows for smooth operation
• Timber repairs including decay removal, consolidation, and matching new timber sections
• Glazing repairs and reinstallation where required
• Working from site measurements, drawings, and restoration specifications
• Ensuring all work meets heritage and high-end residential standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment

About You

• Proven experience as a carpenter/joiner with a strong focus on sash windows
• Demonstrable experience working with sash window systems (essential)
• Strong heritage restoration or traditional joinery background
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality finishing
• Able to work independently or as part of a specialist team
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
• Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential)
• Must live within a commutable distance of West Ashling/Chichester
